Living in Brussels

I work with wood because it is the only organic material, and therefore similar to man—an alter ego of the human condition. Among all types of wood, I choose oak, because in mythology and ancient cultures it has always represented what man should aspire to be: it has deep and solid roots, symbolizing the concrete and rational part, and powerful branches reaching toward the sky, representing spirituality and wisdom.
